From the scariest to the most daring, here are five body horror movies you may have missed
Narrative
A disappearing celebrity takes a black-market drug: a cell-replicating substance that temporarily creates a younger, better version of herself. There is nothing scarier than being human, and these films fully explore the inhuman ways our bodies can betray us. Ray Liotta was cast in the film in February 2022, but died in May of that year before he could film his scenes.
Elisabeth Sparkle: There was some substance abuse
Dennis Quaid replaced her, but Liotta is still mentioned in the director’s “acknowledgments” during the credits. The toilet mirror reappears intact after being broken several times during the fight. Special thanks in the credits are addressed to the many extras on the stage of the theater who were covered in blood.

Pump It UpWritten by Michael Hall, Leonardo StellaPerformed by Earl Gregory Produced by Julian Deggins. This is one of those movies that wouldn’t do the house justice. You need to be in a full room, feeling the waves and energy of the crowd.
But it’s worth it
It’s an experience to say the least. You’ll laugh, you’ll look away, your jaw will drop, you’ll feel uncomfortable. It’s an incredible film, award-winning acting and a stunning soundtrack all rolled into one.
Note that this is NOT a movie you want to delve into before watching it
Big shout out to Demi for taking on such a vulnerable role in tackling a rarely discussed topic. I can’t wait to see what comes of this, hopefully the conversations within the industry will be more open and more doors will be opened than closed.
