Based on the book “Stinger” (1988) by Robert McCammon
Narrative
Stuck on a farm in rural Georgia, a group of neighbors must put aside their differences and band together in the face of a mysterious and deadly threat.
The show has a good plot, but there are a lot of mysteries at the beginning
Featured on Korman Productions’ Deep Dive TV podcast: Teacup on Peacock Deep Dive: S1 E1/2 “Think About the Bubbles”/”My Little Lighthouse” (2024).
The characters lack intelligence, make stupid choices, make stupid decisions, and most importantly, they never ask questions amidst all the strange things happening around them
They ask to keep you in the dark with vague answers and vague scenarios, ending the frame at the most important moment when someone is about to explain something.
It started off slow, I’m not sure I would recommend it to anyone as the first 30 minutes are boring scenarios
Finding the source of the problem and then deciding to ignore it and go home instead of dealing with it is one of the problems with this series.
